While the St. Regis Maldives Vommuli boasts the largest overwater villa with the John Jacob Astor Estate, there seems to be some debate surrounding its claim. Several individuals, myself included, struggle to discern how it surpasses Gili Lankanfushi's Private Reserve. Upon further inquiry, the St. Regis Maldives Vommuli informed us that they expanded the villa's area with the addition of a sand deck, yet we remain skeptical of its largest claim. Nonetheless, adhering to the resorts' furnished figures, we present the following list of colossal overwater bungalows.
The 11 overwater each exceed 10,000 square feet, with the largest two over 18,000 square feet. The noteworthy features common among the listed villas are an exclusive swimming pool, a capacious living room, a principal bedroom and bathroom, and direct access to the lagoon.
